The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW): WWDC coverage schedule for today

I can’t wait to see what happens.

WWDC Keynote - Next Monday

admin | 5 06 2008

Just a quick note to let you know that we are still here and looking forward to the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) .  There are so many rumors flying around right now.  Some of the rumors are insane (and not iPhone related).  I won’t even attempt to speculate.

If anything cool iPhone (or iPod Touch) comes out on Monday, I will let you know.  Any new or different products may change the requirements for the free iPhone (and iPod Touch).

iPhone = Unavailable

admin | 22 05 2008

You may have heard already that everywhere you look, the iPhone is unavailable.  It’s not available on the Apple Store, or in Apple Retail Stores.  It’s also not available at other retail outlets.  AT&T did have refurbished iPhones the other day, but I am not sure if they still have them or not.

This may be one of two things.  One idea is that the second generation iPhone will be coming out on June 9th (at WWDC).  The other option is that this is a huge stunt from Apple to make everyone believe that something new is coming out.  I hope it’s the former.

If a new one comes out, I will probably start drooling all over it and want to get a new free iPhone.

3G iPhone Launch Date?

admin | 20 05 2008

Gizmodo is reporting (iPhone 3G Launch Date Confirmed) that the 3G iPhone will launch June 9th at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).  They go on to say that the second generation iPhone will be available worldwide shortly after the announcement.  Many have speculated that the second generation iPhone (with 3G) would be announced on June 9th, but many had thought that it wouldn’t be available until the end of the year.

Will the 3G iPhone be announced and available on June 9th?  We can only wait to see.  I know that I will be following the live feeds of the WWDC Keynote (with Steve Jobs).  I will post more as I find out.

I am counting down the days until WWDC, are you?

Native Google Applications?

admin | 16 05 2008

According to iPodNN (Google aims to have native iPhone apps at launch), Google is planning on releasing native application on the iPhone when the 2.0 firmware is released this summer.  There is no word on what these applications may be.

This is exciting that Google is behind the iPhone SDK.  Google has always created some great application, I can’t wait to see what they come up with on the iPhone.
